The World's first true filter for hookah smoke, the Kaloud Ayara Carbon Filter Adapter is a ceramic and aluminum downstem diffuser made to fit standard thin-stem hookahs. When paired with Ayara Activated Carbon Filter Pods, it helps reduce harmful gases, ash, and fine particles that pass from charcoal to smoke, resulting in a smoother, cleaner, and more refined hookah session.

This adapter allows you to integrate Kaloud's carbon filter system into traditional thin-stem bases. It is not compatible with Kaloud Krysalis systems, which come with built-in filtration and require only replacement pods.

Ayara Frequently Asked Questions:

• Should the top of the filter remain above water, below, or it doesn't matter? It doesn't matter as long as the bottom of the filter is in the water. 
• How can I clean the Ayara filters and their pods? We recommend you pass hot tap water through the filter, that should be enough, but if you like you can do a deep clean using a soft dish soap like Method Dish Soap. 
• When should I replace the filter's pod inside the Ayara? How Often?  Replace after twenty‑one plus uses. You'll know it's past time to change them if you taste a woody or smokey flavor in the smoke.

• Is there a recommended water level to have while the filter is on? We suggest you fill it so that the bottom of the diffuser is about 1cm in the water, however you can fill it higher if you like. Please note that in general Hookahs, with or without the Ayara Filter, will experience more resistance the higher the water level is.

• Which size of Ayara® Activated Carbon Filter Replacement pods do I need for Kaloud Krysalis systems? Large, small, both? All Krysalis systems use the Large Ayara Filter Pods
• Do I need Ayara® Carbon Filter Adapter for my Kaloud Krysalis System? No, the Ayara filters are not for Krysalis systems, these are only for standard base and stem hookahs. Our Krysalis systems come with a built-in Ayara. You will only need to purchase replacement filter pods in the large size.
